In addition, during the ICANN Meeting in Dakar, [[ICANN CEO]] Rod Beckstrom proposed to the internet governing body that person who will replace him should be an outsider and not involved in the domain name industry business to protect the integrity of ICANN. Beckstrom said, ''"I hope that the person who replaces me will be of the highest integrity and has no recent or current commercial or career interests in the domain industry, because ICANN’s fairness, objectivity and independence are of paramount importance to the future of the internet.
