 ICANN Paris, June 22 – June 26, 2008 French Capital Paris is the venue for ICANN's second international meeting of 2008 and its 32nd overall. The meeting will be held at the "Méridien Montparnasse" hotel, close to the famous Tour Montparnasse, France's tallest building. Dubbed the "City of Lights", Paris is the number one destination for the world's tourists. The June date for the ICANN conference is a perfect one to enjoy the very best that Paris has to offer. Expect temperatures around the mid to high twenties Celsius (high seventies Fahrenheit) and lovely evening strolls in the "rive gauche" (the Seine river's left bank) area's historic Saint-Germain cafés such as the "Flore" and "Les Deux Magots", where French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre was a regular. Beyond Paris, France has plenty to offer tourists and business travelers alike. That makes June's ICANN meeting the perfect opportunity to mix business with pleasure and plan a little vacationing with the family before or after the event. ICANN expects record attendance figure for the Paris meeting, and pre-registration is advised.
