Talk:Domain tasting

Jump to: navigation, search

I'd suggest changing the final rebuttal from:

"There is zero checking done to these domain registrations in terms of trademarks. They are breaking the rules as far as ICANN has set up. Just because they obey the rules that are convienient for them does not mean they are obeying all the rules."

to a rebuttal that counters the point made. The point the "Pro" argument makes is essentially "It's not against the rules, therefore it is okay. Morals don't exist in a free market." I'd suggest changing the rebuttal to:

"All games have rules, so it's up to us to choose them in a way that benefits people and makes the machine run well. In our case, an argument has to be made that domain tasting is good for the domain name system. The Pro argument certainly doesn't convince anyone of that."
