Annual Sponsorship Program

Dear Current, Potential and Past Sponsor,

ICANNWiki, provides a valuable third party perspective as to what is happening in the ICANN community. We provide a Wiki based, open platform totally managed by the community for the community. Sponsorship of ICANNWiki by your organization opens the doors to unbiased opinion for which over time becomes neutral in nature and accurate as perceived and accepted by the ICANN community. By sponsoring ICANNWiki you show you care about the community as well as business issues that effect us all.

Please consider sponsoring ICANNWiki for 2008.

Our sponsorship program includes the upcoming ICANN meetings in Cairo, Mexico City and the next scheduled ICANN International Conference. We offer year long sponsorships which can be paid annually, semi-annually or quarterly, and includes many quality activities throughout the year, including sponsorship at every ICANN meeting we attend. Annual sponsorship can begin anytime within the calendar year.

We have assembled a flexible sponsor program that allows you to choose:

  • What your organization is about
  • The proper audience you wish to target

Sponsorships are broken down into three basic categories:

  • Community Sponsor
  • Targeted Interest Group Sponsor
  • Targeted Interest Tab Sponsor

We are also pleased to now offer our Custom Interest Section.

Community Sponsor

The Community Sponsor levels cater to companies who wish to support the entire effort of ICANNWiki with their logos displayed throughout the entire wiki.

Targeted Interest Group Sponsor

The Targeted Interest Group sponsor levels cater to the companies who wish to support a specific interest group. This allows sponsors to target their support and image to a targeted group who share the same interest, such as Domainers.

Targeted Interest Tab Sponsor

The Targeted Interest Tab sponsor levels cater to organizations who wish to support a specific section within a given Targeted Interest Group. For example, a Targeted Interest Tab can be a section dedicated to legal issues within the Domainers Interest Group.

Current Targeted Interest Tabs include:

  • Domains for Sale & Sold
  • Development
  • Evaluation
  • Financial
  • International Concerns
  • Legal
  • Security and Risks
  • SEO, SEM, PR & Marketing

If you wish to create and sponsor your own Targeted Interest Tab, let's talk!

We look forward to your sponsorship as well as partnership in helping to provide this open source, grass roots, industry resource that fosters global collaboration and transparency within the ICANN "community".

Sponsorship Background

Please join us in the creation of an online ICANN community. This project is designed to be non-partisan and open to all who wish to participate. We believe that fostering a widely inclusive spectrum of participation will encourage collectively generated content that evolves toward ever greater accuracy and a sense of balance.

Thanks to our Sponsors ICANNWiki had a successful debut in Vancouver that continued through New Zealand and Morocco! First some highlights:

  • 4,800 + unique visits a day
  • 40,000 page views day
  • 7 plus page views per visit
  • 600+ People now in the system
  • 280+ Companies
  • 60+ Blogs listed
  • 300+ registered users
  • 1/2 million page views and over 2,000 unique visitors per day !!!!

In addition to these highlights, users of ICANNWiki have distilled information of general interest such as a detailed Timeline of significant ICANN events. Google and other major search engines have indexed ICANNWiki so that now a search for a random ICANN attendee usually turns up their ICANNwiki article near the top of the search results. This increased visibility is turning ICANNwiki into a major hub for the wider ICANN community. We are pleased with these initial results and look forward to taking ICANNwiki to a whole new level at our next meeting.

Adding hundreds of people, companies, and groups into ICANNwiki takes time. The Wiki education process is particularly time intensive. A primary ongoing goal is to talk with and add those we have missed at the previous meetings.

Additionally, we have shifted attention to the development of other collaborative content such as session notes and topical discussions so that ICANNwiki becomes an ever more valuable repository of information that helps ICANN better achieve its goals. The benefit is not only to those that attend the conference as a way to look back at what was covered, but also as a reporting mechanism to those that are unable to attend the conference.

This project is completely dependent on sponsorship to cover expenses. Taking into account travel for three-four people, caricatures, projects, booth rental, printed materials and equipment, total out of pocket costs are approximately $50,000.

Our continuing sponsors are very important to the success of the ICANNWiki community. As a special thank-you to continuing sponsors, we will be including logos and other positive exposure between ICANN sessions in many of the promotional pieces we create. This includes the now highly sought after ICANNWiki Quickies.

All sponsorships and any other forms of help (see community portal) are greatly appreciated and will go toward making participation in the ICANN process more efficient and enjoyable.

Due to printing deadlines, we want to make sure that we properly acknowledge and thank everyone, so please give it some thought and respond at your earliest convenience. Thanks! The ICANNWiki Team. For more details on sponsorship, contact: Chuck Kisselburg

And please feel free to improve this edit and improve this invitation, it's a wiki!
